25/26/27 MAY, 2018 PRESIDENT’S WEEKEND AT HUNTER VALLEY
This President’s Weekend starts on Friday 25th May with lunch just outside the Hunter Valley Gardens at Harrigan’s Irish Pub. As with all events we try to keep costs to a minimum. We have managed to find accommodation which is very reasonably priced for the region.

Rate: Room rate is $265 for 2 nights 2 people. IN: Fri 25/5/2018, OUT: Sun 27/5/2018
Lunch: 12 noonish at Harrigan’s Irish Pub $29pp Limited a-la-carte function menu – if you would like to attend this lunch, please respond by 14 May so I can advise them of our numbers. The alternative is, you chance a table at the pub, bring your own picnic lunch or perhaps find somewhere else nearby if you think you will be there by lunchtime.
Afternoon: gentle wander around local area then check into accommodation at Cumberland Motor Inn.
Dinner: Friendly BBQ locally (approx. cost $35 per person & BYOG) Please RSVP for catering numbers.
7am Early morning walk around town followed by breakfast either in your room or a nearby cafe
Then off to the Markets at Sobels Winery, then on to Singleton for Singleton Farmers & Craft Markets, Morpeth and a wander around the lovely shops, coffee shops, cafes etc for lunch.
Afternoon: cruising the hills around the broader area out from Cessnock and of course visiting the odd winery or brewery.
6pm Pre-dinner drinks
7pm Dinner at Peden’s Hotel, Cessnock. This is right near our accommodation so walk to dinner!
Great pub food, well cooked and well-priced.
Early morning balloon ride for those interested – please get back to me ASAP so I can provide you with some details. You will need to book pretty well straight away.
Otherwise; 7am Early morning walk around town (in the other direction!) followed by breakfast and checkout of accommodation.
Cruise to a Cheese factory, Chocolate Company, and again the odd winery or brewery
Lunch: at a venue to be advised.
I hope you are able to join us on this weekend away. It is intended as a relaxing weekend, no need to rush around, do as much or as little as you wish, but if you want to cram loads into your weekend, you will also be able to do that in the lovely Hunter Valley.
